A record-breaking year of results!

Last week saw Silverdale Sixth Form celebrate the highest A-level results in the city, with 70% of grades at A* to B.

 

Building on this, Silverdale students today learnt that their GCSE results are the highest attaining since Attainment 8 was introduced. 90% of all grades were at A* to C, and the overall pass rate at A* to E was 99.41%.

Westfield School has been part of Chorus Trust since December but is already showing an increase in attainment, most significantly in English and Science. The English results have improved by over 10% compared to last year. The number of top grades achived by Westfield students has also increased, with 123 grades 8 and 9 overall.

Both schools had  students celebrating achieving 8 and 9 grades - which are higher than the old A-grade.
